2206TGT magazine problem

I have a 2206TGT that I have owned since 1994. It came with one 12 round magazine that has always worked well. I bought two new 10 round S&W magazines for it and they do not work. They seem to have 2 problems. One is that when they are in the gun they will allow one or two shots to fire and then the magazine disconnect safety is not activated and it will not fire unless I rack a new round. The second problem is that I have trouble getting them out of the gun. I can pop a mag into the gun and eject it up to 50 times in a row, but then all of a sudden I can not move the magazine release at all. I have been able to get the magazine out of the gun eventually (the magazine release all of a sudden works), but as of right now I have an empty magazine stuck in the gun. It appears that there are issues with some magazines in some guns. Is there an easy fix or should I just get rid of the new magazines? I hate having just one magazine and I do like shooting the gun. If I can not get this fixed easily may just end up selling this gun - it is like new. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

2206 target

This is a weird problem to have.
Maybe buy a 12 round one and try that.
they are just as available.
But I have several 422's and 2206's and change mags all the time.
It also works in my Smith Model 41.

Which part of lifetime factory repair warranty is ambiguous?
My 2206 made a free trip to S&W when the magazine disconnect failed to work with a S&W magazine.
Works slick with all S&W model 41 magazines now.
