Gun lovin\' Hollywood Ca.
A friend of mine has one of these and I noticed it has a barrel bushing in it. Since it's California I would assume it is permanently attached since threaded barrels are not allowed. Would I be correct? The gun was purchased from a local store in 1993.

The barrel bushing is not permanent. They have a tensioned barrel that has different threading than your usual barrel devices. Adapters are made to make them compatible though.

The bushing is removable with a special tool and the recessed barrel threads can be fitted with an adapter that yields exposed threads, protruding from the muzzle, that will accept a suppressor. EWK Arms sells both the tool and the adapter, as do some other companies. About $20 for each. You'll also want a thread protector to cover up the exposed threads when not running a suppressor.
