I actually stopped in Wallyword checking for .22lr which was a no go:mad:

Looked in all 3 of their ammo cases & about fell out, sitting on the shelve was 25 boxes of AE 55gr .223. Tracked down the sales lady & told her I'd take 10 boxes not trying to be greedy. She then informed me I could only get 3 boxes & that goes for all ammo. Which I don't get, because you can get 3-100rd boxes or 3-20rd boxes but only 3:(

So I had a friend w/me so I ended up w/6 boxes $8.04 + tax per 20rds.

Ask the wife to stop buy & grab 3 more boxes on her way to work, she went in & the lady (probably not the same one since it was several hours later) was selling the remaining 19 boxes to one guy, even got him a box to put it all in. Bad thing was wife reconized the guy, a gun shop owner from about 25mi away.

Am I wrong to be pissed?

I be upset also we had a local gun shop that did that also who now out of business. He go into Walmart first thing in the morning if he thought they be getting a truck and buy them out when ever he could. He then mark it up 5-6 dollars a box that combined with a extremely bad rep of "Hidden Fee's" on gun purchases hurt him.

We had a local LGS go into Academy a couple weeks ago before they started limiting customers and he bought several cases of Monarch ammo, which is only sold at Academy, and took it back to his store and put a 200% mark up on it.

I would be angry also. What I would do is speak with management and let them know what happened and if it doesn't work I would then call the district manager and keep moving up until some form of resolve is found. We have dealt with the same issue in my area as we have three Wal-Mart stores within a 10 mile radius and all sell ammo. One day I saw a LGS owner in the store (I know him personally) cleaning the shelves and I promptly went and got the store manager and brought him back to the sporting goods section and voiced my concerns. Needless to say from that point forward that store and the others I called placed a six box limit on ammo and lo and behold ammo started showing up on the shelves (strange how that works). I think it is BS for a LGS owner to befriend a "clerk" , break out his business credit card and wipe the shelves clean for resale at a much bloated price. Say what you want I believe that ten gun owners with ten boxes of ammo each is better than one gun owner with one hundred boxes.

Oh yeah forgot....

Was called by a buddy this morning that had stopped by Dick's on the way to class and said they had .223 in stock. Got in my truck and went up there and they had an estimated 2500 rounds of PMC bronze on the shelf. They have a limit as well and I bought my limit and walked out. The ammo is out there and available as long as it isn't snapped up by the first person. That my friends is why I like limits I actually had a chance to buy some ammo!

I did call the store, manager seemed to not really give a ****. So last night a email headquartes w/her name, LGS's name & the issue. I wasn't going to buy it all, I like to have gotten more than 3 boxes, well 6 since I had a friend w/me.

We'll see if it email does anygood. I'm not holding my breath.
