I think amounts to economics. The R&D costs to produce a functioning AND reliable conversion kit are not cheap. I'm estimating that many thousands of dollars would have to be spent up front to produce a functioning AND reliable .22 Cal. Tokarev conversion kit. I would estimate that the retail price of the conversion kit would have to be in the $500 range to pay for the development costs. When the basic gun is about half the cost , why spend all that extra money? Perhaps when the price of 7.62x25mm ammo reaches several dollars a round, then perhaps the kit might become economically feasible but not until then. Just my $0.02.
