From watching others at the range, the majority of them can't shoot worth a darn. Don't listen to others find out for yourself. That's a great price for ammo in a non target gun. Recent manufactured Aguila is not Eley primed, and some Bullseye shooters are not giving it good reviews.
The walmart close to me has had a empty ammo case for a while nowwalmart had plenty of federal 325 round boxes toay at $16.94 each no limit on quanity.
What??? I guess you don't shoot much, maybe a part time Hobby, Myself and my son easily shoot 500 rds of .22 one each outing ( twice a week) We also bring the 9mm and each shoot 100 rds, then I also bring 1 or 2 AR's and maybe shoot 40-80 rds , and I may also bring about 20-40 7.62 rds. . When we show up to the range we bring no less the 7 guns. Better ammo? like I said before most guys can't shoot to the quality of bulk ammo, Aquila is fine ammo, at 25yds scoped (9x) we are shooting sub 1/2 inch groups, often hitting the same hole back to back, we see NO need for "Match" or better ammo. At 50yds we are centering 10mm dots, that's smaller than a Dime, at 100yds we shoot 2" dots with 1" groups scoped. I easily have 25,000 rds in the house at all times, I try to buy 1000 or 5000 rds at a time because it's cheaper and using the same ammo keeps you shooting consistent. I do use GOOD ammo, Supermax and Interceptors, or Val-raptors in my slide fires, but that starts to get expensive after a while. Occasionally we take out the Full Auto Ar and I have been playing with an AR with a Echo Trigger lately.I know I would have a really hard time shooting up 5000 rounds. Plus, it's probably not the quality ammo you would want to stockpile. I would pay a little more and get some quality ammo you would be proud to put in your ammo inventory. That is, unless you are planning on shooting up 5000 rounds next week. . .then I would buy it.

STILL A MYSTERY why some WM's can get ammo & others never.
There are three WMs near me, in Prescott, and all have had 22 ammo on the shelves since early this year. Two have only a few brands and limited stock but one always has a good supply of CCI, Winchester, Federal and Remington.

Agreed, with everything but the 10-22, I have a 10-22 tactical take down and I think it's junk compared to the 15-22. Owners have to put a ton of money into the trigger group to get the thing to run as good as the S&W 15-22. The trigger reset is too long to get the gun to rapid fire like the S&W. Many say that it is the best .22 rifle out there, but I can't see that.
Funny, those that say its not good ammo - have you actually shot any recently? My kids and I take the 10/22 out and run through 500 round easily on a good morning shoot. I got 5000 rounds of Aguila Super Extra HV copper-plated and we shot it against 4 other brands of 22LR. Guess what? We consistently were getting the tightest groups with the Aguila and it had no failures. No, we did not shoot against match grade ammo (for plinking??) we shot against the bulk boxes of things like Federal that we had on hand. Bottom line, terrific ammo at a great price. Have a Great Day!
