Absolutely critical! Gold Dots have a very large mouth that can cause problems. Federals HST's is another one. My 1911 has never hiccuped with the HST's or anything else but will not make it through a whole magazine of Gold Dots without a FTFeed or two...be careful!

Will do gentleman. I just ordered 100 HST for around 85 bucks. (After taxes and shipping.) I'll be testing those along with the GD SB and the regular Gold Dots.
