I finally came across a picture of my 24-3, purchased new in 1985. I'm not much of a shutterbug
You may notice this is a 4", round-butt. No, it's not a super-rare Lew Horton (they were all 3"). I took it straight to a smith and had the butt reshaped to K-frame round to better fit my stubby digits (and a super-slick action job). A few months later, the Horton combats hit the market.
I called Lew Horton to find out when my royalty checks would begin arriving. They haven't gotten back to me just yet.
