Looking to possibly buy a S&W 25-7 5" barrel Matte Black smooth cylinder Model of 1989 with box and paperwork. Nice shape, no wear or rust. I know there were only 2000 made, but is $800 a good deal? Thanks!

I was thinking it's a good deal to, but I saw one on GB that no one bid on for start price of $950. The auction ended with no one bidding on it. So couldn't really gauge a price. Thanks

My glorious mother threw out the box and papers on mine.

But mine is clean otherwise. I would not sell it for less than a grand, assuming of course that I would sell it at all. I do not plan on doing so anytime soon.

A 25-7 is just so cool to me! Would love to pick 1 up at the right price. (who wouldn't) Do have a 25-15 though that I enjoy. Bob

Actually 2000 of product code 100924 were manufactured.

They started at the -7 engineering revision and ran through the -9 engineering revision.

There are no Factory records showing where in the 2000 piece run the change took place

At $800 I would not be asking if it were a good deal, I would already be showing off my new revolver

Thats an outstanding deal for gun alone. Please post pics after you get it home.

Here's mine wearing Culina cocobolo cokes :)

$1,000 could not convince me to sell mine either.

It is one of my best shooting 45LC revolvers

I couldn't agree more! I have the -9 and I wouldn't sell it for a grand if someone was waving the money in my face.

Op, if you decided to pass let me know where it is. At $800 I'll buy It forthwith. :D

That is a beautiful combo! Love that dark on dark look. That Cocobolo almost looks like the Brazilian Rosewood used in the early cokes. Very nice!
