To all the men and women who are serving and who have served in the U.S. Army in the past, thank you. My wife and I are both Army veterans and proud of it.
My favorite was always change of command ceremonies... and I mean that with as much sarcasm as I can humanly muster.I used to hate parades when I was in the Corps. If the parade was scheduled for noon the general would tell the colonel to have the troops there at 10 to get set up and by the time the schedule got passed down through the chain of command to platoon level you'd be showing up hours early and end up standing around, usually in either cold or hot weather, waiting for things to actually begin.![]()
At least the Marine Corps birthday parades ended up as massive drunken parties so there was a reward to look forward to.My favorite was always change of command ceremonies... and I mean that with as much sarcasm as I can humanly muster.

Now that is a turn of phrase right there. Kudos, my good man.as much sarcasm as I can humanly muster.
