25’s. One missing…

That's quite a collection! You've been a busy boy during the past year or so. Good luck with your hunt...I don't know if I've ever actually seen a nickel 8-3/8" Model 25.
I missed out on this one about a month ago.
I couldn’t. I was already buying two or three and I had to pass.
I would jump on it now… but I have to at least be reasonably sensible about budget

There will always be another!

Where's the fun in that?... o_O ...Ben
I would if I could, and I do when I can.
I have a list. :D
I have a 6” and 4” 57 in blue…
This means I will be wanting four other 57s.. right?
Since I’m not going shorter than a 4 inch barrel on any model.., this should be doable in the next year or two.
I’ll be looking for a 6 inch nickel 28..,
It’s all about finishing sets, as I’m sure you are aware.
The tough one will be getting nickel 53’s.
I have not seen many of those, and they go for higher prices.
I still need an 8 inch 53 in blue!
It is like collecting Russian dolls.

AWESOME collection brotha!!

Every time I feel bad about my sickness, I come here and see that I am not the sickest kid on the block. Y'all make me feel great!! :ROFLMAO:

I was trying to complete my HE & RP 32 Long's when I realized that the 6" HE didn't look right to me, so I am not pursuing those 2, but still need the 3 1/4" RP models. This is such a fun sickness.

Spoken like a man who's never cradled a 3 1/2" N frame in his hands, and felt the warmth and love emanating therefrom...And then you'll find that no matter how many of the .357's you surround yourself with, you feel incomplete without a .44 Special......Ben

I hope you'll let me know if you ever come across a Nickel 6.5" Model 24. (You guys here are probably so sick of me harping on that.) Sorry

Rick

Hey Truckman,

I don't see an 8 3/8" NICKEL 27-2 in that photo. Are you implying that you have completed the 27-2's?? :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:
There is no such thing as "complete" when it comes to a S&W accumulation, my child...That was merely the only photo I had with the most 3 1/2" N frames in it...But I just did a fast search in the Smithalyzer, and came up empty on 8 3/8" nickel .357's, just a pair of 3 1/2" and one lonely 4"...I'll work on the hunt this weekend......Ben

Things I don’t have that are on my list:
27-2 4”… blue and nickel
29-2 6” … Blue and nickel
I guess now.. 27-2 3.5… blue and nickel..
The aforementioned 25-5 8” Nickel
28-2 6” Nickel… and I guess a 4 inch nickel original finish…
Do I need a 19–3 smaller than a 4 inch?
Four more 57s…
A registered Magnum…
Pre-29s… I guess in all barrel lengths…
An S series 29-2… all lengths..
Model 24? It is not speaking to me…. Yet.
A second 29-2 in 8” blue
A second 29–2 in 4” Blue…
53 in 8 inch.., all barrel lengths in nickel..
endless list and multiples of what I already have..
I am now making myself laugh with the ridiculousness, yet seriousness of the sickness. It is the journey.,
I also want to refinish some old beaters, maybe myself, and certainly have some refinished that really need it, but that no one wanted to spend money on.

I get that the original finish is what people are looking for, but I think some of these get past the point to where they are more highly valued with the original finish.
If I can stick a few bucks in one, and lose out on a few bucks in order to keep a piece of history in great shape so that it does justice to the craftsmen that made it, I’ll feel happy about that.

There are so many angles to this hobby.
