Today at a small local gun show I purchased a 5 inch barrel 27-2 that was wearing the target stocks shown in the pictures. I recognize that they are likely a decade or so early for the N362095 gun. I’m wondering if I stumbled upon a set of Cokes?

The material is also unknown to me. Any help is greatly appreciated.

OP, you could post a pic of the bottom of the stocks to help verify the goncalo. I'm going with goncalo since rosewood would be extremely rare per other threads. Yours does have quite open pores. A great find regardless.

The best I can do tonight — bottom shots of stocks.

There Cokes, and if Rosewood there worth over a grand$$ Doc needs to see these he would know. I would need them in my hand and with a magnifying glass.......................................M*

A great big thanks to all. Now I am struggling with what to do with them! The 27-2 has both target trigger and hammer, so I’m guessing it came with GA football targets with silver washers. If I’m correct, that’s what I’ll put on the revolver.

I'm sure you will have offers to trade those cokes for period correct targets! I would get your targets and hold on to those after a little cleaning and re-freshing. Everyone should have one set of cokes and if nothing else they are good to hold for a special trade.
