3.5” 27-2 (but what are these stocks?)

While I generally prefer the larger target stocks there is something about the smaller Magna stocks that balances the look of a 3.5" Model 27, of course finger groove combat stocks look good on the 24-3 too...

I have a set of double palm swell Fuzzy Farrant grips on mine. They are beautiful but if I shoot full power loads with my bare hands it will tear the skin off. I use shooting gloves. Problem solved…

A couple of years before passing he changed his handle to Art Doc. Too much squabbling with people who wanted to shorten his moniker to just "Pig".
He very much disliked it when folks referred to standard barrels as “pencil barrel” and also disliked very much - the target grip or large-ish grip/stock on any revolver with a snub bbl….he was quite crotchety and would interject himself into Model 58 threads where he would state that he was surprised that anyone thought the 58 was useful or had a value for use that other guns didn’t do more efficiently or better and I think he liked to get folks riled about that…so, some folks, myself included, liked to annoy him with improper Smithtalk and terms and such which would quickly get a stiff objection by him causing immature glee in those of us who knew of his dismay to such talk……lol….in actuality, I think the man was a good character to share this forum with as a fellow avid enthusiast and as mentioned earlier….he had quirks…like all people do. Rest in peace Saxon Pig/Art Doc….
