Got this 27-2 last week, price was fairly decent for what it is and condition, seller said it was a stainless but looks like it’s a hard chrome to me,although the sideplate looks nickeled,so puts it in the 76/77 production range,as you can see it has lots of finish issues, luckily the bore is nice, lockup and timing spot on and it has a trigger that’s unreal, bad things are rear sight has been plated, screw heads are buggered up and won’t back out(loctite?)
Should I leave it as is or should I invest money in a restoration?

Definitely an aftermarket refinish, the plated rear sight and satin finish are give aways.
