27-2 strange rear sight

Hello,
I picked up a 300 range 27-2 at an auction a few weeks ago and it has a rear sight on it that I can't find any info on. I am hoping someone here can shed some light on it. Thanks in advance.

The word for that is broken. You need a new rear sight blade kit. Relatively cheap and easy fix.

That was fast! Thanks. This revolver has had a rough life and it matches the condition of the rest of the gun for the sight to be broken. Any ideas where to find a new blade?

I had a gunsmith replace one for me that was bent. It was around $20

I've bought them off Ebay before. Be sure you get the screw with them, you usually have to break the old one to get them off.

Could we possibly see the rest of the gun? Even if the "old girl" has had a rough life some of us appreciate what once was. Joe

Welcome to the FORUM! A shooter 27 in the $300 range is quite a deal if mechanically sound. The rear sight should be an easy fix. As mentioned, we would like to see pictures of the whole gun. Bob
