I noticed my 28-2 does not have a firing pin bushing? Was this on all older revolvers? I would think this presents some problems at times. With pierced primers for example, the frame would get burned.

Are you referring to the hammer nose bushing in the breech face?

It's supposed to be there. It's part #5036 on the parts list.

I own two 28-2s, and have owned four others in the past. All had the bushing.

False alarm! it's there, just a little harder to see since it and the frame are blued.
