I ran across this nice 28-2 today. A little old lady visiting had it. The subject of guns came up and said she loved revolvers. She got it out of her car and I cleaned it and took some pics. It was not very well cared for but in very nice barely used condition and tight specs. I said I would try and find a value but she said it is not for sale, I tried.

It was her late husband's and I doubt she could even pull the trigger. She said it made her feel safe to have it and she wouldn't hesitate to use it if need be. :)
Thanks for the value

Don't mean to hijack this post but have a question about the gun's finish. The finish on that 28 isn't as dull as most I've seen. Did some 28's come with shiny finishes?

That would be the cell phone camera and lighting. It was a dull black.

I have to adjust my value. There appears to be some prick holes on the front of cylinder? Am I correct? About $500 as a carry gun. I would look at it at a show. Sorry my spectacles were dirty. The dull blue looks right as rain. Still a great gun. Belonged to her husband and makes her feel safe. Win, Win.

I'll have to second the 6 to 700 depending on the area of the country. More for California, mebbe a little less in the midwest. 650 around here for sure. Box and papers would probably add a hunnerd bucks to it.

Yes it had some dings on one side of the cylinder. She also kept loose ammo in the same carry case. I put it in a baggie.
It's going to her son one day so I didn't worry about it.
