29-2 REPLACE BARREL

Are there any 6 1/2" barrels left out there? I have an pinned 8 3/8" I would like make into a 6 1/2"

Good luck on your quest for a replacement barrel, but it might be easier to sell your Model 29-2 with the 8 3/8" barrel and buy another Model 29-2 with a 6 1/2" barrel. Considering the cost of a replacement barrel and the cost of having a qualified gunsmith perform the swap, then possibly needing to refinish the revolver to make it look right can quickly make selling what you have and buying what you want far more economical.

By the way, looking at the pictures of the one on eBay, I'd be concerned. There is only one picture of the barrel shank and it looks like someone filed away part of the shank at the forcing cone area.
