Ok guys tell me what this thing is worth. It looks new, unfired with the original box, it has an 8 3/8 barrel. The felt is starting to come off of the inside of the box but otherwise very nice shape. I need a good estimate of what its worth before I sell it. I will post picks in classifieds soon. Correction, It has no turn ring but really dont know if its been fired.

Thanks

How do you know it's unfired?
Photo's and a serial # would help us give you an approximate value.

Or check Gunbroker for closed auctions.

A dash 2 gun in 99% condition may be 750.00 to 800.00. A nib may be more.

While I'm certainly no expert and I would not want to tell you what your gun is worth......I CAN say that I paid $1000.00 cash for exactly what you describe several months ago.
Mine is early '70's vintage, blue with all tools & paperwork, and of course the wood case. Mine appears to have been fired at least six times:)

Although my local "gun-buddies" tell me that I overpaid.....I have no regrets at all.

You'd have no problem selling that gun for $800.00 as others suggest.

I sold an ANIB 29-2 (6.5") recently on GB, bidding went to 11 bills. ANIB guns definitely command premium.

The long tubes aren't in as high a demand as the shorter ones so I would say between $750 - 800 if all in like new condition.

I'm fairly certain one with a similar description recently sold on this forum. The posted price was 900 shipped. It sold quickly.

I just got one of these myself with the same barrel length. I paid $900 and have no regrets either. Being in California, my search radius is greatly hindered. Only 29-10's are on the roster, so unless there was a way around it, 29-2's on Gun Broker and the like were off limits. I figured a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.

I'll run a search, but while we are on the subject of 29-2, any suggestions on factory ammo? I plan to fire this at the range a couple of times a month. Probably only 12 .44 specials and 6 .44 magnums each visit. Any recommendations? Stuff to avoid? I read somewhere that cowboy loads dirty the gun with lead. I'm new to this and could use a little advice.

Cheers!

Not sure but I believe your location would have something to do with the value.
