I snagged this 29-5 classic hunter not long ago, I know they were a limited made model back in 1991 but it’s very vague on how many, I also have the lew horton 29-3 but I prefer the red ramp on the -5. Serial is BFWxxx, anyone know any numbers on estimated produced?

I have an 8” 29-5 that came scoped and no rear sight. Whatever you do, don’t take it off and lose it, because the rear sight for the 29-5 is unobtaninium.

One of the most beautiful revolvers. At least in my opinion. The high polish blued "smokey" finish of it is just awesome... As to your question, I'm not entirely sure about the number produced.

Mine is BFW1125. It gets in the deer woods at least once a year. The SCSW says only "1991 Limited production", no information about production numbers. This is a great revolver, my only gripe is that it's not factory drilled and tapped for a scope mount.

I love the unfluted cylinders, I snagged a mint in box 29-4 3 inch Unfluted, 1 of 2523 or however many made, I’m picking that one up tomorrow and I also have a 629-2 classic hunter in stainless with unfluted cylinder I’m
About to finish paying off.
