2nd Time To Range...Problem

Took the sd9ve out this afternoon for some range time. Near the end I noticed my trigger pin had slid out to the left a substantial amount. How do I correct this/is the pin just too small?

I think the pin is just like the Sigma trigger pin. Make sure the trigger return spring loop in in the groove that is slightly off center to the right. If this pin is in backwards it could tend to apply force to the left.

Okay here is a shot of my frame...

On my Sigma even the slot in the trigger is off center right and the spring loop can been in the groove in the pin. Remove the pin by tapping it out with something of similar diameter and leave it in place of pin -I use a piece of those bamboo skewers,won't hurt anything. As stated the groove on a Sigma is to the right side,an SD owning should be able to verify it is the same or not.

My trigger pin did the same thing on my first trip to the range after installation of the Apex spring kit. I didnt even notice it until I got home and went to put it away in the safe. I pushed it back in to where it was and noticed that it was flush on the left side, but pushed in a small amount from the right... so I gave it a little tiny push in from left to right and heard a little "click". Now both sides look equal.... and after 100 rounds this past weekend, it did not move at all.

I know you didnt do the Apex install or anything, but it makes me wonder if maybe the factory didnt set the pin all the way in like its supposed to be. Not sure if my post will help at all, but you may need to just try to give it a little tap from left to right and listen for a click!

Your pic. looks just like mine SD40VE.

Don't think mine is in the slot and don't see how it can be.

The slot looks to far over to the takedown lever side.

The body of the spring hits the plastic trigger before it goes in the slot.

To me the slot should be centered on the pin not off set.

Tried putting pin in both ways won't go in slot so I said the hell with it.

Only problem I had was the trigger pin was rotating when pulling trigger.

Put blue Loctite on both sides of pin so far so good.

Thanks for the replies everybody. I will try to tap it in because mine too seems to not be flush with the right side. Hope I hear a click ...noticed that it rotates as I pull the trigger as well...aside from this its been flawless...250 rds no hiccups different ammo...just want this pin to stay put!!!

Yup... I remember noticing mine rotate when I pulled the trigger too. I havent looked at that specifically since I pushed it in and heard the "click" so Id be curious to see if its supposed to do that, or if thats another sign that its not all the way in. I didnt actually tap it with anything to get it to snap in... I used a wooden golf tee and just pushed against it easily... and "CLICK"!

I'd have to use the driver along with the tee to get mine to move either way.

A full swing at that.

Well thats not good news 3hounds. Mine was easily pushed in about 1/16th inch until i heard a click...im not so sure it was a notch it clicked into but it did click...tried poking from the right to left and it wasnt moving.....next trip to range will be closely watching it.
