Here's a quick update on my 15-22 after it's first 3,000+ rounds.

In a word, perfect! I did install the VQ extractor and tweak the ejector after some initial FTE issues, but since since these mods. the little rifle has run without a single FTE or FTF when using CCI MM or AR Tactical ammo or the Federal 325 bulk ammo.

In Steel Challenge matches the gun will run as fast as I am capable of operating without any issues. Shoots straight too :D

I added a HyperTouch 24C trigger for match work, however the stock set up is fine for plinking.

Without a doubt the 15-22 is the best buy in a ready to run .22 rifle today.

If you're reading this and still thinking about buying just go do it. You'll love this gun.

Awesome, thanks for the update @harrye! I've made similar updates to my gun but have only had the chance to put about 200 rounds through it since the upgrades and I had a ton of FTEs and FTFs with my stock gun. I'm happy to hear I should have a stress-free shooting experience going forward. Heading to the indoor range today in fact. Can't wait!

Just wanted to give a quick update after my range trip a couple of days ago. We went through at least 500 rounds and did not have one single FTE or FTF. In fact, a buddy let me shoot his Henry Golden Boy lever action 22LR while I was there, so I filled it up with the same ammo I'd been using all day and had one FTF in only 15 rounds. I also ordered the McFadden Lightning Grip loader and used it for the first time on Sat. too, and WOW, what an awesome accessory that is. My son and I were actually fighting over who got to load the mags because it was so much fun. (Almost) as much fun as shooting! It was by far the most enjoyable range trip to date because loading the mags was a non-issue (fun!) and we had zero malfunctions in over 500 rounds. And I was trying to get rid of my "trash" ammo so I was shooting all kinds of **** like Remington Golden Bullets and the cheap Federal stuff. Everything worked perfectly.
