USSS did switch from SIG 228 9mm to SIG 229 .357 SIG. I think this happened in 2003 after I retired.

Upon further inspection Kernel, you are correct. DA/SA If it was done outside the factory, the work is incredible. It could explain what I see as a shoulder rig rub however. Thanks.

Why would it matter if your Model 24-3 were distributed through Lew Horton?

I bought a 3" Blue M13... then FBI issue & hard to come by... I loved the balance of the gun. My financee' declined to sell it back to me when we parted ways.
I consoled myself With a 3" M66 (-2) which I bought in 1986. It instantly became my favorite off-duty & trail gun. I hand made a (mostly) copy of a Bianchi 5BHL for it.
