I have been to Elderly several times. I have also been to the Heritage Guitar Co. (old Gibson plant) in Kalamazoo.

Yeah, Elderly is unique little shop, can be dangerously expensive to visit though. Seen the old Gibson factory sometime during the 50s to young to appreciate, but it was better than a day of elementary school.

The Mexican "Players Series" are exceptional values.
When Fender built their Mexican factory I could take a Strat, Tele, "J" or "P" that was $200 dealer cost and with a few upgrades and a few hours work it would rival the American Standard.
