I have three .380s, one domestic and 2 foreign-born.
The first one is an old Remington-UMC Model 51, getting close to a hundred years old now, but still quite functional and very ergonomic.
This Walther PPK/S is one I've had for quite a few years. Very reliable gun.
And finally, a very nice post-war Mauser HSc. Some strange features inherited from previous pre-war Mauser handguns (such as the slide release being the insertion of a magazine), but still a very purposeful handgun.
Had a Ruger lcp. To say it was not fun to shoot would be an understatement. Sent it down the road.
Sig Sauer p232 is the only 380 I own. Bought it for my wife's CHL class.
Fun to shoot and very accurate.
Have had several .32 and .380. I liked the Colt Pocket the best. Wife had a Bersa Thunder and it was surprisingly well-made. For the cost, we got a .22 for practice and a .380 for her to carry.
I also liked the H & K H4 (mine was .32) and the Walther PP (also in .32).
As an aside, we ended up going with a G43 in 9mm for her EDC.
I like .380 pistols. I think I have 9 of them by several quality makers. Colt, Browning, Walther and Sig. For me, the reason I bought them was because I liked the gun. Caliber was secondary.
However, don't take that to mean I have anything against the .380. I think its a perfectly adequate self defense round. In fact, I think its highly under rated.
My favorite is the Colt Mustang. I have two. A first issue two tone and a 2nd issue XSP. They are small pocket sized guns and very easy to carry. The locked breech design makes them very easy to shoot well with little felt recoil. I like 'em!
We only have locked breech .380s. For top quality, I have to go with the Sigs we own. Sadly, some models are now discontinued, and Sig decided not to make the P320 in .380.
Despite the antiquated fixed barrel straight blowback design, goofy magazine release, and slippery plastic grips, I seem to be able to hit dead center mass at 10 yards consistently with this gun. (Not something I can say about other similar handguns weighing only 18 ounces unloaded). May not be a PPK, but it won't leave bite marks on your hand, either...
Russian made Makarov. 380 here. I don't recall exactly, IJ70? Maybe? I do know it was imported by Big Bear arms. Nice leather flap holster and 2 extra mags.
I'll have to dig up a photo, it doesn't get much carry time, but it is a good shooter.
