3 Decent 380 cal.

I don't own any 380's at the moment.
I liked the Colt 1908 when I had one as well but I always had trouble consistantly depressing the grip safety on those when shooting. Something I just do. Same probl when shooting some other grip safety pistols as well.

I had lots of Military and lesser knowns over the yrs. Usually gotten as a result of searching for the cheaper versions in 32acp.
The WorldWars presented many as surplus and bring back examples.
Fn 1922 was a really good find in 380 even back when a very nice condition of the same pistol in 32 complete with German issue holster would hit your wallet hard at $70.

The one .380 I had the longest,,around 35yrs, was a STAR DK 380.
Not a real comfy gun to shoot if you planned on running a couple boxes thru it at a time. But lightweight alloy frame, concealable, external hammer 1911 style small semiauto.
A locked breech pistol, if that really matters. I found it completely reliable

I've only got two, but they're all I need...

The Ruger LCP to-go...

My wife has had 2 she really liked, a Bersa Thunder380 and a Ruger LCP. I've had a Sig P230, A Makarov, and an FEG PA63 type in 380. I've had both types of HSc, the German, and the Italian. I had bad luck with both of them. Lots of jams, feeding issues, very unreliable.
Right now 380 is still the hardest caliber to find in any stores.

Nice group of 380s you have there.
My experience has been that for the most reliable 380 stay away from polymer frames.

I too have a Walther PP. Great guns.

For all of you polymer lovers (and I know you're out there), here is my semi-rare .380 SIG P250 subcompact DAO, pictured above its cousin, my P320 compact. The P250 is heavier than the .380 mouse guns, but it's still pretty light even when loaded to its 12+1 capacity. It's plenty accurate out to 15 yards, and it's easy to shoot one-handed.

The biggest problem I have with it is getting used to its DAO trigger. It's a very long pull compared to my striker and DA/SA pistols. The pull is not particularly heavy, and it's very smooth, possibly one of the smoothest DAO triggers ever made. But the transition from my other pistols does take some getting used to. If I pull too lightly, I can get a failure to fire. Fortunately the P250 has re-strike capability, so when I fudge up the pull, I simply have to pull again to fire.

CZ82 in 9x19 makarov, closest thing to a 380 that I have. Very reliable. Only other small caliber pistol that I have is a Manhurin French made under license from Walther in 32 auto. Yes and you do have to be careful how you hold it. Someone ought to make a separate piece that fits over the small beavertail and maybe two set screws to hold it in place to prevent it coming off while shooting it. I am very conscious of how I grip that little pistol. But it is very accurate. Frank

His and hers S&W 380ezs. Really would like a P238 to try out someday. Really wanted to like the PPK but just couldn't.

I collect new Walthers. I have several, plus a Ruger custom LCP.

I've got four that I've acquired over the last year. Gotta love the single action. The Browning holds 13rds while the other ones 6 or 7rds depending on magazine.
The Colt Mustang Pocketlite is probably my favorite It seems to have the best trigger action.

Pictures aren't the best but each firearm is spotless.

Nice selection Richard. I didn't know High Standard made a .380 that resembled their target .22's.

My only .380 at present is a first model Ruger LCP that works well in it's role as a "put it in your pocket, and forget it" pistol.

Larry

Same. I wasn't aware that Hi-Standard made a .380 like that.

I have a Browning 1911 .380, SIG P230, Walther PPK, Colt Pony Pocketlite, GLOCK 42, Makarov .380, plus a Ruger LCP, LCP Custom, and LCP II
