3" M66-3 Price Question

email them to me - Heck I'll put them up!

Looks like you were just a tad quicker to post than I.

You have done well Sir! Yes, you have done very well.

Got it, $575.00 +tax . Also I was mistaken. It is unfired with the box, paperwork and the extras that are still sealed .
Serial # is BFK1083 . Can someone date it for me ?
Also I'm a camera/internet noob but I have a couple of I- Phone pics . I can e-mail them to someone if they would please post them here .
This gun came from an estate . Also with it and still there was a 4" nickel M27 in a presentation case . It was un-fired and had small factory wood grips on it . It was high at $1200.00 .

Congrats Nick - glad you got it. Enjoy shooting it.

Hey Nick, from one South Floridian to another, congrats.

The Spec.Ord. # is a Julian date. post those 4 digits and I can tell you when it was 'born' .

Regards
Allen Frame

I'm betting February 1990. so the Julian date should be 0047 or thereabouts. A.F.

You scored a great deal Nick, congrats. :D
Thanks Ladder . I probably could of dickered on the price more but when he brought out the box and the sealed extras I just wanted to wrap up the deal and get out before someone came in and stuck his nose in the deal .
Also the M27 in nickel was nice . If anyone is interested I'll get better details on it . It looked old school with those small factory wood grips on it but I don't know much about M27's .

Nick, your gun with the original grips should look just like this.

No this gun has black rubber grips . Previous owner must not of liked the small wood ones . Oh well,ya can win em all ! I want it for shooting, not collecting .

Very good score at that price. I had a 2.5" that I had purchased NIB in the early 80's. I loved it but wanted a 3" 66. I sold it a while back and started looking for a 3" 66. I eventually found a 66-2 NIB for $599.00. I was very glad to get it at that price since most that I had seen were in the $900+ range at the time. Enjoy it. You will love it.

I just want to say thanks to all who have responded . There's a great bunch of guys here . All with kind words and very helpful .

I have taken a few minutes to savor these photos in the privacy of my own home.

On behalf of Nick B I would like to introduce to the world a 3" 66 that is truly stunning to behold.

Thanks for sharing Nick - stunning, simply stunning piece - WOW buddy you did well beyond excellent!

Is that a target trigger on there as well?

Does it have the target hammer?

What does the rear sight look like? White outline?

Thanks Flint for posting for me my crappy phone pics . The rear sight is white outline but I'm not sure of the trigger or hammer . I've never seen what they look like on a K frame because this is the only one I have . All my other Smith's are N frames .

Does the box have any designations on it?

RR - Red Ramp front site - yours has
WO - White outline rear site - yours has
TT - Target trigger - yours seems to have - is the trigger about as wide as the guard?
TH - Target hammer - can't see the paper is in the way!

Wow not even a Thank-You

No more posting finds for me that I don't want
