Those combats look fantastic on yours! Thanks for sharing. I might have to keep an eye out for a set. I'm going to go ahead and see how it shoots, so I'll leave the goodyears for now. If i might ask, how do the combats feel when shooting 158gr. magnums?

Very comfortable. They’ve fairly wide across the back, distributing the recoil energy nicely.

I had a 66-4 3" CAUDxxx with a Roy Jinks letter but let it go for $$$$ and sold a -3 3" but I still have two 3" 66's that I will keep...

Thanks for sharing, especially those that have more than just one 3" 66! Does anyone have a ballpark number or percentage of 3" production from back during the -2 to -4 timeframe?

I don’t have numbers at my fingertips but IRRC the 3” Model 66-3 is the most rare of the bunch.

The 3" model 66-3's are difficult to find but there are two on the big auction site.

This weekend I found some nice combat grips for the 3" 66. I'm very happy with how they look and feel.
