Seems most of the shops in the far NE part of the state and western NC haven't had any of consequence for some time.

It was the first thing to run out that I noticed.
Guess I could have made money if I had wanted to load for it for others, but I won't.

Never ran out of 30-30 in this part of GA. Took my first mule deer, in fact two of them at the same time, back in 1964. Fortunately two were allowed in CO then. A nice 4x4 ran out of the scrub about 75 yards uphill and I shot and he disappeared into some head high manzanita and came busting out the other side and I shot him again and down he went. When I got up the hill to dress him out I looked to my left and there was the other one piled up in the brush. Two one shot kills and way more work than I bargained for. I still have that Mod 94 Win.

I like that line - "it's ammo". Go onto the Midway site, order it, let them put you on notice and when you get that email order it right away.

Did that, got home one day and had an email from them time-stamped at around 10 AM if memory serves. Went to their site right away (about 5 PM), already sold out. I'm back on the notify me list again.

I just logged in to my account there, and the expected arrival date for Hornady LEVRevolution 160 grain flex tip is March 1st 2014. Six months from now.

OTOH, the expected date to have 140 grain of the same ammo in stock is October 16th. Four weeks from today. Maybe I'll not take any assignments for that day and stay glued to the computer...
