What next rifle?

Being a big fan of lever guns I might add a lever gun chambered for 45 Long Colt.

Several years back I converted my Marlin to a takedown gun I also had a saddle maker make me a roll bag to transport it in

While I do have a Marlin Custom Cowboy Limited chambered for the 45-70 cartridge, if you are going to that chambering I'm really, really fond of the Sharp's Long Range

It may be an old fashioned looking single shot rifle but it is amazingly accurate although I have only shot it out to 800 yards so far.

As has already been mentioned in this thread, the ammunition does tend to be on the expensive side if you are not a hand loader

You might also want to consider one of the Browning BLR lever guns mine is chambered for 308 and it is just a cool piece to have

I do have a 1-4X scope that I need to mount on this lever gun, I think it would make a great hunting combination that way

Staying with the 308 cartridge I also have a Valmet over and under double rifle which is nice to have since I have additional barrels for it in 12 gauge. Also a good bolt action rifle in 308 is fantastic. I have owned one of the Remington PSS rifles for a good 30 years now, I just need to get these photographed

As a last suggestion I'm going to pose one of the Rossi model 62 pump action rifles chamber for the 22 cartridges. If you have kids these are a lot of fun to take out on the weekend
