.303 British

CCamer50,

PM sent with load data. DO NOT put filler in a case to hold the powder charge against the primer. You have no idea what happens to chamber pressure.

Take your rifle, a primed case only without powder or bullet, and fire the primer. Wear ear muffs before you pull the trigger. Primer flame will shoot out the barrel 2" to 6", enough flash and bang to ignite any powder charge.

ok , understood... i agree

my question was only because sometime i heard ( and read ) about this method in the ...reduced loads - but in effect none
in my range know this argument ( 'cose none of them shoot reduced charges )

Thank you

CC

Has anyone tried

The Speer Number 8 Manual lists a load using a .308 100 Grain "Plinker" bullet. Its lists several powders and the velocity is fast around 3000 on average max load.

I wonder what the accuracy is?

Seems like a nice little range load...

Anyone ever loaded them, I might try some with RL7?
