I picked this up recently. It does not appear to have been fired. It did have a spec of rust on the right side.

Louisiana Joe - if light recoil bothers you, as an alternative to letting walter o. take over your gun ;) you might let Big Cholla on this forum ream the chambers to take 32 H&R Magnum. He did it for my 31-1, and now I can shoot everything from powder puff 32 Long wadcutters up to the Buffalo Bore +P Magnum load that sends a 100g JHP bullet out a 3" barrel at ~1200fps.

Those +Ps don't really hurt to shoot, but they do let you know you just lit off something special. Everything else is a joy to shoot out of this little gem. If you haven't shot one before, you're in for a treat.

Louisiana Joe, nice specimen. Congarulations!

I have two S&W .32 cal's. One is a 2" flat latch pre model 30 and the other is a 3", Model 31-1. Currently, desperately searching for a 4" to complete family trio. regards, hardcase60

No need to ream this one. I also have a 16-4 6".
