Looking for some real life experience input from the other 310 Nightguard owners out there.

I like to shoot 10MM but it consistently shoots 2" high and 3" to the left, despite two sets of grips on it now.

Have done a search of the threads on this wonderful forum and it looks like I need to go to the Bowen Rough Country adjustable rear sight.

Question now is which of the three heights offered is the correct one to order?

Doc,
My 310 was also shooting about 2" high at 20 yards. For my initial fix, I used a shim under the rear of the 310's sight. I took a small stainless steel washer and ground down two sides to fit under the 310's rear sight screw and sanded down the washer thickness until I got POA and POI the same.

For my current fix, I added a Crimson Trace Laser Grip to the gun and now both the "iron sights" and laser sights are perfect.

I don't know of a simple fix for your windage problem. My 310 doesn't have a windage problem with any of the 10mm or .40 loads that I have used.

Bubba Blades,

I thank you, sir. I am going to test some 40s and a different batch of 10s before I go the CT or shim route. If they still shoot to the left, it will be the CT fix for sure since the shim fix won't cure the windage issues. FWIW, I am also looking into a Bowen Classic Arms Rough Country adjustable rear sight. Just need to figure out which height to purchase.

My 310 is pretty much on the money with 10MM.

Mark,
If you want some fun, you need to open your cylinder up for 10MM Magnum. Then the revolver will shoot all three cartridges.

Yes, I will meet you at American Indoor one saturday so you can try mine before getting your done.

Is this a "it depends on what size bullet you use" type of issue?

I am shooting 180 grain LFP bullets in 10MM using VV N350 at 6.5 grains. Will get to the range this week using 6.0 grains instead, but same bullet. Will also try .40 S&W Fed Hishocks to see how much change there may/may not be to POI vs POA.

UPDATE:

I wound up calling S&W Customer Service and FedExd back the 310 Nightguard (on S&W's dime, mind you) on 04/05 with two test targets to demonstrate POI vs POA.

I received it back today (04/19!). They repalced the fixed rear sight with an adjustable assy and also adjusted barrel alignment.

Outstanding Customer Service S&W!!!!!!!

On a separate issue, I was shooting my new E Series two tone bobtail when the right grip panel split right along the length between the two screws. In a week and a half, Dave in the S&W CS department got me a replacement set! YOU ROCK DAVE!

I can't wait to get my hands on the all black bobtail E Series!
