I have owned this one for just over 20 years now

I put the factory rosewoods on it shortly after getting it.

At 10 ounces it is so light that you can drop it in a cargo pocket and forget it is with you.

How do they shoot? They had a 3in barrel in stock. Very light. Is the cylinder aluminum as well?

The frame, barrel and cylinder are all made from aluminium. Anything that needs to contain pressure is sleeved with steel to keep the weight down.

Mine shoots just as good as my steel J-frames which come in at more than twice the weight. Plus the 317 brings 2 more rounds to the game over it's steel brethren
