The thread last week about the Remington 25 in .32 WCF got me to thinking about my .32-20's. I've add a couple since my last group photo so I pulled them out of the safe to get an updated picture.

1890 Marlin Model 1889
1917 Winchester Model 1873 SRC
1897 Colt Lightning
1913-1917 Marlin Model 27S
1912 S&W Model of 1905 3rd Change
1923 S&W Model of 1905 4th Change
Unknown single shot falling block
1921 Colt Police Positive Special
1907 Colt Bisley

This is one of mine made in 1904. I have another Colt SAA 7 1/2", an 1873 rifle from 1892 and one of the Browning/Miroku remakes of the Model 53 Winchester. I love'em all. 😁

Nice collection! You must reload because commercial .32-20 ammo, even Cowboy Action, is difficult to find. I only have one .32-20...a .32-20 HE (Model of 1905, 4th Change) with 6" bbl. (ca. 1923) like yours. It shows some honest wear, but very good mechanically. Enjoy!

You mostly hear the .32-20 linked to Winchester and Marlin lever action rifles but the Marlin 27S and the Remington Model 25 are just slick handling pump rifles that are great fun to shoot. When I was a kid I had a cousin with a bolt action Savage (Model 43 I think) that caused a fair amount of coveting.

I'm down to:

Uberti Model P Jr
S&W 1899
S&W 1902
Colt PPS
Colt Official Police
Greener Martini Cadet

How do you like the Model P jr in 32-20? Barrel length... trigger...
balance?

And.... Damn...some nice guns. I really like the 27s. I am wondering why the manufactures have dropped the slide action....it's faster than a lever. Someone needs to make a modern 27s.

M43 is a Win, M23 is Savage or pre called Sporter. In my experience the Savage models although not the quality of Wins were more accurate. I never had a mint Savage but I have had several high condition m43 Wins. The well used Sav 23 always came out on top. I have old 94 Marlin that shoots exceptionally well and it's well used with dark bore.

I've owned three Model 1905s in 32-20 but am now down to one. Also have a 92 Winchester and a Stevens 44 in the old 32 WCF. The Stevens has a so so bore but still out shoots the 92. It capable of 2" groups at 100 yards with an old Lyman tang sight. I debate on whether to get it relined but don't know if I myself can get the most out of it!
Had an Uberti model P that was the same frame size as my Uberti 45 Colt. The barrel and front sight were also the same profile as the 45 so it was a bit heavier and shot high. I carefully filed down the front sight until it was dead on at 25 yards.
I'm always on the look out for a nice S&W 32-20 HE with a better bore than the one I have. Also would like a Winchester Low Wall and a Remington roller chambered for it as well. And yes... I cast my own bullets for my reloads. Would rather spend my money on the guns than the ammo.

I once had a friend in Maryland whose only deer rifle was a Winchester 43 in .32-20. I believe it was also available in .22 Hornet, maybe .25-20 also. It seemed to work OK for him. I have not seen any Model 43s for many years.

The Win 43 also chambered in 218 Bee. I know a girl down in WVa that got her deer every year with her grandpas 43 in 218, open sights. Another proof that deer ain't Cape buffalo. Anyone who has the patience to sit on a stump and wait for shot can scuff a deer with a 22 short.

Mine is a 4 3/4". Clean trigger pull. Balances well. It came with an extra cylinder in .32 H&R Magnum. I rechambered that cylinder to .327 Federal, but haven't fired any rounds through it yet.

I like it!

Had a hankering for a single shot rifle in 32 something, my prayers have been answered. Found a Ruger NO1 someone rebarreled in 32-20. On its way from Tennessee, should have Tuesday. Keep looking at the internet pictures of the gun and rubbing my eyes and pinching myself!!

Already reloading for it, 2.5 gr of 231 with a 98 gr HBWC is one.

Was very close to having Andy Horvath put a liner in a 310 Cadet for a 32 mag conversion. Would have been nice. Watch for a thread on it Wednesday ish. Larry

In the OP's first post it looks like a Model 1890 Winchester pump rifle has been called a Marlin Model 27s?

In any case I own three firearms in 32 WCF. The first one is a Model 1899 Smith:
