I'm sure this has been answered many time , but I dom't have the time right now to search all the pages, so I hope someone will help me. A lady asked me to look at a revolver her grandfather had given her, with the expectation of using it . She said it was old! I was sure it would be in .32 S&W cal. It was'nt!, it was .32 Win. I scrounged up 28 rds of old ammo, but I have no idea if it is revolver or rifle. The new stuff I see on-site doesn't say in the ad, what it's for. I think I'll just tell her to keep it as a relic. Thoughts? Thanks much, joyer.

Joyer,

ALL current production .32-20 ammunition is OK to use in revolvers. There is one specific loading that was rifle specific, and that was an 80 gr. round-nose hollow-point. Any ammunition with a flat-point bullet, either lead or jacketed, is OK.

Here is the only one that was rifle specific:

Thanks Alk 8944- The ones I found look a lot like the one in your picture, so I won't be giving them to her! Her pistol is in pretty good shape mechanically-good and tight, and so- but it's pretty old. I'll just advise her to put it away.. Thanks again, joyer.
