Hey guys,
I picked up a shooter 32-20 hand ejector with 6" barrel. Just looking for a rough idea of when the rascal left the factory. It's serial number 102,9xx.
Thanks for your help.

Thanks for the info. I had quessed it to be in the late 20s to early 30s, so 1921 is a pleasant suprise.
I'll try to get a couple of pictures up in the next couple of days. I have always enjoyed looking at everyone else's pictures, so I'll try to return the favor.

You'll have to post your pic to a photo sharing sight first then link it to there. Its not too dificult to do. Photobucket.com works for me. ~Chef

Finally ! The pictures look OK.

Don't know who made the grips - almost looks like Colt with that screw,
but of course it wasn't !

Looks like there is not much finish left, or most of it has turned brownish.

32/20's were one of the more well-used guns, so the condition of this one
is better than some I have owned. Typically, they look like the bounced
around in the back of a pickup truck, what with all the nicks and dings
they get.

This gun has a few nicks, but otherwise looks reasonable.

Mike,

It's not missing finish, it's covered with lots of great character. The bore and action are almost perfect. I have only one perfect, unfired S&W, and I hate the fact that I'm afraid to shoot it. Give me a gun with lots of character anyday.

The grips are British. They came off of a horrible Cogswell & Harrison victory conversion.
(But, they did do great grips).

The grips that came with the gun were recent vintage oversize grips that were "Bubba Customized" with a wood rasp and belt sander.
I am saving showing those for when someone does an ugliest grips thread.

I bought the gun from an older friend, who believes friends should pay full price. I let beat me out of my money about once a year because I enjoy watching him get mad when I offer less, and then listening to him working so hard talking me back up to his full price. So it cost me $300.
