According to Roy this revolver shipped in May 1907 from the Smith & Wesson factory. Imagine that - Theodore Roosevelt was President. The Panic of 1907 had not happened yet. Income tax was a decade away. Prohibition was only a dream held by Temperance folks.

For this one to still be accurate is fantastic. I know I would not want to be in front of it when it went off.

The target has the first six from a box of Remington 98 grain Lead Round Nose factory ammo from around 1969. I bought the box at a gun show in the late 1980's.

My Regulation Police Target was a couple of decades newer. I was super excited to get it a while back… right up until I took it to the range and tried to see that knife edge of a front sight. It instantly was relegated to safe queen. And it’s so cute…

I felt the same way about my pre WW I .32-20 Target model.

It went bye-bye.
