I recently acquired a 4" M-325 PD from one of the gun auction sites and was generally pleased when it arrived at my FFL dealer. I wasn't thrilled with the very heavy trigger pull but previous experience with a couple Night Guards has taught me it is a requirement with the frame mounted firing pins. I also don't like the Titanium cylinder and that was something I could do something about.

I happen to have a spare 45 ACP cylinder made of stainless steel. By swapping the ejectors I didn't have to bother with fitting the stainless one as the ratchet from the Ti cylinder was already fitted. I now have a slightly heavier but much more durable and easier to clean, light weight 45 ACP revolver with a 4" barrel.

And why you may ask didn't I just get one of 325 Thunder Ranch models? They are just too ugly. At least this one still looks like a real revolver and not a space gun wanna-be (lol).

For some reason I can no longer up load pictures or I would show you what I have come to call my 325 PD (Heavy). Now all I need is The Plug.

My 325 PD was factory new. DA pull was around 10 pounds but fairly smooth. I prefer 7 to 8 lbs. started by changing out the hammer and rebound brings and the longest firing pin I could find. Got consistent ignition with Fed primers with Auto Rims at a 8 lbs DA but not below that.

The trigger pull was fairly smooth but a bit tinny. The MIM trigger, rebound slide and hammer are set pretty smooth with tight tolerances from the factory but were not responsive to my light polishing polishing. So invested in the Power Custom DA trigger, Hammer and rebound slide.

While the original MIM parts were more than adequate, I like my modified 325 PD.

Yea, that Thunder Ranch logo on the right side is kind of a give away. (smile)

I'm going to try again to get some pictures of my PD posted.

Nope, didn't work this time either. Apparently I don't have a "security token", what ever in blazes that is. Heck, I never had a security token any of the times I've posted pictures here. At least not that I ever heard of.

Some times I hate computers.
