Who has shot a S&W 325 Thunder Ranch?

What do you think of it?

I've had my eye on it since it was announced. I'm concerned about how it will handle with that light-weight frame. It seems to me that some light frames cause the gun to move laterally in my hand. I have a 3" 625--full weight, all steel--that handles great.

That has been like 7 or 8 years now

Time to stop eyeing and start buying

I have many Scandium N-frames and consider them to be among my favorite revolvers.

We are only talking about 45ACP here. This is not like the recoil of a Scandium 41 Magnum or even the Scandium 357 Magnum

What caliber light weight guns have you used that are moving in your hand? Were they yours and if so did you try different grips? There should be no issues with a 325 TR

Or how about a scandium framed 45 Long Colt?

If you really want recoil, Taurus made a 5 shot, Total Titanium, L-frame sized, 19 ounce 41 Magnum. This is not for the recoil shy but is controllable with a little practice

My aluminum-frame 1911. It just feels too light - no recoil problem, but it doesn't shoot like my full weight 1911s.

Can anyone confirm the recoil feel on the 325 Thunder ranch? Everyone says the scandium frame makes it snap a lot more. How much are we talking? Is it like shooting 357 out of my R8? Less...more? Its been quite a while since Ive fired anything other than 38/357 and maybe some 9mm out of a glock here and there.

325 TR inquirers need to use the search function, as there are several current threads describing the various attributes of the 325 TR, including recoil, cost, etc.
