How do you actually enjoy a Magnum caliber revolver?

practice with light loads,, run a few of the full power stuff to confirm zero.. and save it for when you need it.
I used to hunt with a 44 magnum,, ran 240gr bullets over a near max charge of 2400 or H110.
In 357 I run 180 gr flat nose bullets over Be 86 for pins. I carry those same loads in a 2.75" 386 in black bear areas.

Get a .22 and shoot it until you're bored with it. Then get a ,357 and shoot .38's in it until you're bored.

Repeat if you eventually want something bigger. If you never get bored, you've reached your upper limit.

I inherited the gun. Last year when my made changed to the range, they prohibited Magnum anything.

What the Hell is wrong with the range owners? Except in the case of creeps who have no business shooting anything, magnum this or that has nothing to do with safety. Find another range.
