My wife was sick and didn't get a chance to get or make me anything for Christmas. When she apologized, I said that it was OK, "And I would like thank you for the S&W revolver you're paying for!

So, today I'm in a LGS and they have a used 325 PD, Way overpriced!

No papers, No box, a visibly used gun (without picking up!)''What is a realistic price, that I could see if I can negotiate for?

I have 2 both bought slightly used about 3 years back. I believe I paid about $850 each plus some for shipping. But, like any kind of not very many or being made now revolvers they have went up. I would guess $1200 as reasonable. GB has a starting bid one at 1075 and 2 night guard both hundreds higher.

Just now bad does you wife feel about no Christmas gift??

They make a serious big bore carry gun and although kind of bulky they are so light that they carry easy.

The only thing I'd caution against is to make sure that you examine the face of the cylinder. If previous owners were over zealous in their cleaning they may have removed the protective finish and that will result in erosion of the face of the cylinder.

As far as price - I think steelslaver summed it up pretty well, altough I think the high end might be a bit higher than he thinks. That could also be dependent on your location.

One of mine has a TI cylinder and the other a steel cylinder. The TI one is lighter, but recoil is a bit less and there is less concerns on that type of corrosion. You will want rubber grips that pad the back strap as the y are a bit snappy.

Pizza Bob is probably correct on being a bit higher depending on condition and type of gun shop it is in.

A friend gave me one a couple of years ago. Carried nicely, but recoil on hands that have arthritis is wicked. Gave it back after shooting it several times.

Bad enough to not have put in ANY objections!

I haven't bought any revolvers in over 10 months, that causes a form of DT's to overtake my life, Then I end up buying something like an Elephant Rifle. She really doesn't want to see that happen. (That has happened a time or two before!)
