My first post and I really feel like I am asking a dumb question. Here goes anyway....

I just traded for a Performance Center 327 357 Magnum and someone asked me: "Does it need the 8 shots moon-clip to load the weapon ?"

I honestly don't know. I wouldn't bother you with this question but I am Googled out. I can't find the answer. It didn't come with a manual. Will someone please help? Thank you!

The moon clips are generally for fast reloads in comp. events. They take up a lot of space in your pocket for walking around. But, for quick loading or reloads they can't be beat. Bob

Whew...... I was thinking that for this particular model the clips were NEEDED as a spacer to bring the primer closer to the firing pin. Thank you very much guys! I will probably get some but it is nice to know that I don't NEED them. You have been very helpful!

my main carry and ,called s&w and is up to u to wether to use moonclips or not...a magnificent piece ,,,, love mine

I recently purchased a Performance Center 327 357 Magnum and wondered the same thing. First, I am not a fan of the moon clips but thought I would try them. I also purchased a Speed Beez loader and case. I loaded the case with 3 sections of 38 specials with moon clips, the rest with 38 & 357 cartridges only. At the range I loaded the 327 using the moon clips, the speed loader, and cartridges by hand one at a time. For me I will stick with the speed loader as this was the easiest to do.
