I'm trying to assemble what might be a perfect rig for my use.

There's only one thing that I need to mod, and wonder if anyone has experience with this and if it's a big deal to get right.

I have the 327. Have a Crimson Trace laser grip ready to go for it. I have a Blade Tech OWB that fits perfectly...except...

Just where the laser protrudes a bit from the grip right side, that little laser shroud nub prevents the gun from seating all the way into the BT holster.

I'm missing getting the gun holstered and "home" by about 1/8 of an inch of plastic on the holster.

I'm wondering if there's a negative side to trimming that little bit of plastic back, to make just a bit of room for the CT grip, and if not, what would be the best tool for the job?

Thanks in advance for any replies.

Option for your dilemma

Hi Len -

Tessa from Blade-Tech here...

I manage Blade-Tech's social media channels and received a Google alert about your post and wanted to offer you an option... other than altering it yourself, which could destroy or deform your holster. You are welcome to send it back in to us and we will make the holster work with the CTC grip.

When we know that a holster has a CTC grip, we include a channel on our mold to compensate for the shroud that you're referring to.

Should completely solve your problem.

If you'd like to do that, either message me back or call our customer care line for help 1-877-331-5793. Let them know that Aaron suggested you should return it. They will assist you in getting it to us and getting your new one out to you.

All the best!

Well, I'll be! Guys, I want you all to know that this was not a "plant."

I am in no way associated with Blade Tech, and am just as astounded as anyone else that may read this, and the gracious post by the BT rep. And, to tell you the truth, I was not even thinking that the CT grip might get in the way of the holster...just never entered my mind.

I will take them up on the offer!

Wow! Just wow!

lol. No, Len you are not a plant.

We're listening... forums are a little harder to track than Facebook and Twitter, but I'm happy to help :)

Have a great weekend!!

Wow, just happened onto this thread. I have a duty style holster on order for my 327 M&P R8 from Blade-Tech. They were very helpful on the phone but a "Google alert", simply amazing.
