I've been playing with a Savage 110 BA in 338L for about 2 years now. I have a very good cool weather load of 104 gr of US869 w/ 300gr Matchking. But the same load in hot weather is wild and cases stick in chamber, observably this is too hot of load for 80 degree+ weather. Anybody have a proven load for 300's in hot weather. BTW the 104gr US869 load does 3 shot 2" groups at 500 yards. on 30 degree days. Ivan

I'd suggest Hodgdon Retumbo or H1000; I've had great success with both in my 338's year round. However, in the pacific NW, it only range from 30 to 80 degrees.
