340 SC for $350, should I do it?

I am not fussy about appearance and since its a rental, go shoot it to see if any issues and then refinish it yourself. My range has a broken GP100 I'd love to buy but they won't sell it.

I have decided not to buy it. Too beat up for me and who knows how much life it has left in it. I will spend a few hundred more and get what I really want...A 342ti

There is a very nice looking example on Gun Broker dot com right now. The starting bid is $700!

Even if I had the cash, you would have no competition from me because it has a lock. But, the lock might keep the price down as the auction continues. ;)

Best of luck, sir!

If you go on GB to advanced then completed items put in the model # you will see what the 342ti's have gone for.

Wow! A nice one, without lock, and complete with a set of Altamont boot grips sold for $650 recently. I believe that is a bargain.

Admittedly, I am no longer looking, unless I win a lottery. :o

I would never really like the gun, too much "honest wear". I sold a LNIB 637 for $340 (Kentucky Gun is selling them new with free shipping for about that right now) not so long ago and I carry a scandium 360, which I wont shoot 357s. Ouch. I also like the hammer.

I would buy it in a heart beat. I like nice looking guns and and a few but don't mind owning a few beaters. A good gun that doesn't look that pretty.
Buy it.

OP Here. Three weeks ago I picked up an excellent condition 342PD (Black One) for $500 on GB. I will wait for another good deal. No need to pay $700+. No hurry I have plenty of carry guns.

You got the touch, partner. Am interested in your words: I got one back originally purchased new. Had you sold it? Stay safe.

Yeah, one of the young guys at my department wanted it, so I sold it to him. Problem was, he couldn't qualify with it. When I got it back, most of the surface finish was corroded off of the frame and barrel shroud, so I decided to use one of the ceramic bake-one finishes to renew it. The KG Gunkote worked well. If that doesn't hold up, I'll take it to have it professionally Ceracoated. So far, so good.
