Picked up a 2nd Gen .357 Single Action Army for a song. Came with a 686 Tupperware box, so I guess it wishes it was a Smith?

Good shooter, now joining the stable of my other 3 Rampant Wheelies. Clockwise from top right:
1993 Anaconda-bought at right time, now selling for triple what I paid in 2000.
1923 Police Positive. Bought so I would have a second .32 long to shoot with my 1903 HE.
1986 Colt Trooper. First center fire handgun I ever bought.
1965 357 SAA Shooter grade-Bought at my LGS from a guy who brought it in for consignment. He was looking for a quick sale, could almost sell for double what I paid.

Have quite a few more Smith Revolvers, but my Colts outnumber the Smiths in the semi-auto department.

That is a very nice collection of shooting Colts. I have always thought that the SAA in 357 was more versatile than the 45. Would like to have one in the "New Frontier" version.

Traded my brother out of this NIB 1979 production 3rd Generation .357 SAA almost 2 years ago. He had bought two of them from a local discount Gibson's store that was going out of business in 1980. He never shot either one, and just kept them in his safe, with the occasional wipedown. I'd like to get another .357 with the 4.75" barrel.
