That head stamp was used for years & may still be used today! Show the outer box!
Outer box certainly needed for the Remington. Very early eighties for the S&W?
I recall S&W ammo, nickel plated late 70's.

The R-P heaadstamp started being used in the early 1960s. Prior to that it was REM-UMC. I agree with the earlier statement, the S&W headstamped ammo is probably from the 1970s. I remember buying some in the late 1970s, I think. It wasn't on the market too long, but there is nothing rare about it.
