I don't think they're wrong.
Shooters want 125 gr. .357 ammo because of it's fearsome street reputation and higher energy. 125s penetrate adequately so aside from shootability, POA/POI and gun wear issues, there is likely nothing to be gained from the heavier bullets IMO.
We might have to disagree on this one and that's O.K., there's certainly nothing wrong with 158 gr. ammo. The .357 being a hard cartridge to screw up, 158 gr. ammo should be far from inneffective. I could carry it with confidence were my guns not stoked with 125s.
