Your gun was made in 1968. The original standard grips had the diamonds around the screw hole.

It means that earlier in the day, I was cleaning up a 4-screw pre-36, and I got the two confused in my little pea-brain.

I didn't want to admit to a Senior moment (I'm 48), so I blamed it on not enough caffeine
