36 no dash 3” flat latch date please

So stopped by Cabelas and they had a nice 36 no dash 3" with a flat latch. Had some bluing loss at the usual spots but lock up was nice. Had diamond square butt grips and at $350 out the door including tax I couldn't pass it up.

Serial number 434XXX

Can someone please give me a year of manufacture?

Great find and good buy. That's my favorite, 3" and sq butt.

If it's stamped Mod 36 and with that 2nd basic style flat latch, it's from between 1958 early '60s. With that serial # someone who's closer to their serial # lists than I am can pin it down closer.

I got it's twin not long ago, S/N 203XXX from 1960-61. Best guess yours might be '63-64 but one of the experts should give you a more definitive answer.
